Additional Play Poker Like the Pros Information

In Play Poker Like the Pros, poker master Phil Hellmuth, Jr., demonstrates exactly how to play and win -- even if you have never picked up a deck of cards -- the modern games of poker, including: Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Seven-Card Stud, and Razz.

Phil Hellmuth, Jr., a seven-time World Champion of Poker, presents his tournament-tested strategies to beat any type of player, including:

The Jackal (crazy and unpredictable)The Elephant (plays too many hands) The Mouse (plays very conservatively)The Lion (skilled and tough to beat)

Play Poker Like the Pros begins by laying out the rules and set-up of each game and then moves on to easy-to-follow basic and advanced strategies. Hellmuth teaches exactly which hands to play, when to bluff, when to raise, and when to fold. In addition Hellmuth provides techniques for reading other players and staying cool under pressure. There are also special chapters on how to beat online poker games and an inside look at tournament play.

What Customers Say About Play Poker Like the Pros:

Thankfully there is. You would be well advised to stay away from this gobbler.not worth it if even if someone gives it to you for nothing. The only thing of value this book represents is the sure knowledge that there must be something better out there. .so I will remember to never ever buy any book written by Phil Helmuth. Look just about anywhere else for better information about poker. Utter rubbish. This is without a doubt one of the worst books on poker to ever grace the printed page. Only books by Ken Warren are worse.

although not discussed, i have used the strategies to become a very good tournament player excellent insight on making money playing poker.

Phil does a great job reading this book, most authors monotone read their own books, Phil reads this so well its like hes talking it to you, and its also updated than the written book by a few years. You know, there are a ton of poker books and videos and I own most of them, I used to somehow think there will be one book of "magic" on how to in big in poker, but theres not. Phil also discuses tournament and cash game play.Very enjoyable to listen too, Phil teaches and gives fun stories and examples from his many years of experience playing the game. Its a great audio book and will help your game alot. Phil discusses whats the best starting hands and gives advice on how to play them and even gives scenarios on how to play them. It's a very big book and covers other popular forms of Poker such as Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, LIMIT Holdem, No Limit Holdem, 7 Card Stud and Razz. This book is prob one of the best because its real.Unless you like reading or are a poker nut (like I used to be) really one good book is all you really will need, then play lots of hands on the internet and hone your game.IF you were gonna chose just one Poker good, this is a excellent choice, its very indepth and not just slapped together as alot of poker books are to simply "cash in" on the poker boom. This book (like Super System) is a very well put together book and shows truly how great and knowledgeable Hellmuth is on the game, he didnt win 11 bracelets from luck. Im not a big fan of Phil at the tables as we see him on tv as he acts like a baby, maybe its for show, who knows,m ho cares, but I respect his game of poker, and thats hy I bought this audio book.

it is a good book I wish it delt with texas holdem a little more then it does but it is still very helpfull.

Do not waste your money. This is a primer for beginners only. This is useful for limit poker but worthless as a guide to NL games. He spends less than 30 pages on NL and more than 150 on limit -- a hugely disproportionate volume of information.
